To celebrate the new MyOodle website I've got a freebie for you! A FREE MyOodle Dog Desktop Wallpaper. I've been trialling mine for the past few weeks and it looks awesome on the lock screen of my phone and as the desktop on my MAC desktop. I'm loving it, I hope you do too.
Wow what a day, like most bloggers I started the day checking online to see what was going on in the world - when these photos popped up. Doing what I do, I see thousands of poodle mix photos every week and love every minute of it. Today's photos of Humphry Groodle topped everything I've ever seen before.
Wow what I month or should I say year! It's taken far longer than I could have ever antipcated but we got there in the end. MyOodle has a new website and while some of you have probably seen it already I've finally take a breath and wanted to tell you all about it.
August is Pet Dental Health Month so it is fitting Jet Cavoodle had a trip to the Dental Vetininarian this week. Dog dental health is super important and should be checked at your dog's annual health check. You can take action in between vet checks to make sure your dog doesn’t end up with dental disease. The number of dogs with some level of dental health disease is said to 4 out of 5, which means most of you reading this will have a dog affected in some way.
Jet's first ever cavoodle friend was Buzzy Cavoodle (pictured on the left). Buzz is credited as being the reason Jet Cavoodle is part of our family. Jet and Buzz were buddies, when either family needed to travel they would have sleep overs and hang out.
Puppy schools are very often operated through you local vet clinic. Jet's was and this meant we knew all the owners had followed the same vaccination protocol, resulting in the dogs all being safe to play with prior to the 12 weeks immunisations. Our puppy pre-school location was the car park outside the Vet Surgery, this also meant we didn't have to worry about the grass having any nasties in it.
The earlier your dog becomes social with other dogs the better chance you have of them being well balanced, friendly, social dogs. Remembering also the Trainer will have control over the class at all times.
You might not know the other dogs but the trainer for the puppy school will and they will also know how to handle any situation before it gets out of hand. Unlike the dog park where you can't reply on all dogs and dog owners having the same manners as yourself and your dog.
It's never to young to learn and the same can be said for puppies. You'll be surprised what you can teach them in a short period of time. Your Puppy School Trainer will give you the techniques to make this process far easier.
It also gave me an fantastic opportunity to train other family member. Don't laugh. I knew Mum and Dad were going to be caring for Jet often enough, due to our travel schedule. Dad is the biggest most inconsistent softie ever, so I used Puppy Preschool as an opportunity to remind him of the basics.
The first few weeks and potentially months of having a new puppy can be a little testing. They are amazing but often there's literally a whole pile of wee and poo to deal with, so I found Puppy Preschool a real opportunity to connect with Jet Cavoodle. Having Dad along to the classes was a great chance for us to spend time together.
Have you been to Puppy Pre-school? Are you planning on going to Puppy Preschool?
Some of you might know from my Instagram posts that Jet has been in the wars this year. Just like Australia, Fiji has it's fair share of bities and is a very beautiful but pretty harsh environment sometimes. One of the biggest things has been that many of the beaches have large quantities of coral or are fully coral based. Not good for one puppies toes, especially when he goes crazy for the ball at the beach.
When Jet Cavoodle moved to Fiji we wondered how many other dogs he'd meet and be able to hang out with. Many of the dogs in Fiji are not suitable to make friends with, sad, but that's the reality. One of the main expat suburbs doesn't allow dogs so doggie friends are limited.
I can't show you Sydney models without showing you what Brisbane has to offer. The group shot for Sydney is complete and I've also seen a least one of the individual shots. Cute is an understatement. I'll let the photos doing the talking....and these are just the ones from the entries. Can't wait to show you the ones for the calendar, but for the minute we're keeping them under wraps.
Wow, the first year of moving any new country is busy but Fiji takes it to an entirely new level. We've had moving house, Jet arriving, unpacking, preparing for a cyclone, new contract clients, significant birthdays, and two years worth of guests all who visited in the past two months. This is why my usual routine of posting as been a bit all over the shop. I've tried my best to maintain a post at least weekly and one or two weeks I know this has slipped. My next guests and Jet's human cousins arrive on Tuesday so while I've got a a minute I thought I would show off the Sydney winners of the 2016 MyOodle Charity Calendar. They are beyond cute.
Next stop was Lake Tekapo, although there were obviously a few stops for water and a bit of exploring on the way.
Now that we have announced Rescued with Love as our charity for 2016 MyOodle dog calendar, it's time to beg and plead in the hope we can find an amazing Graphic Designer who will put their hand up and be willing to give freely of their time to make the 2016 MyOodle Charity Dog Calendar AMAZING!
This is me. My name is Bobbi the Cavoodle and I am two and a half years old. I am a girl, yes with a boy’s name, and I am often mistaken for a boy!
Anyway, moving on.
We (being me and my Mum and Dad) are packed up and heading off to the North Island - Tauranga/Mount Maunganui to be exact.
